Key Responsibilities:

IBM MQ & WebSphere Administration:

Design, install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ and WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments.
Set up message queues, topics, channels, and security configurations for IBM MQ.
Deploy and configure Java EE applications on WebSphere Application Server.
Integrate IBM MQ/WebSphere with enterprise applications, databases, and cloud environments.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to messaging queues and application servers.
Optimize message routing, load balancing, and performance tuning for middleware solutions.
Implement SSL/TLS encryption, authentication, and access control for IBM MQ/WebSphere.
Ensure compliance with industry security standards (PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
Use monitoring tools to track system performance and optimize middleware configurations.
Conduct capacity planning and high availability (HA) configurations for mission-critical applications.
Perform root cause analysis and implement proactive solutions to improve system stability.
Work closely with developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to support middleware integration.
Document configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
Provide training and support to internal teams on IBM MQ/WebSphere functionalities.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in IBM MQ and WebSphere administration.
Strong knowledge of JMS, Java EE, and middleware integration patterns.
Experience with IBM MQ clustering, multi-instance queue managers, and high availability setups.
Familiarity with Linux, Unix, and Windows environments for IBM MQ/WebSphere deployments.
Understanding of web services (REST/SOAP), API management, and SOA architecture.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) / App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
Knowledge of cloud-based MQ solutions (AWS MQ, Azure Service Bus, IBM Cloud MQ).
Scripting experience in Shell, Python, or PowerShell for automation.
Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
